Black Lives Matter is an organized movement in the United States advocating for non-violent civil disobedience in protest against incidents of police brutality against African-American people.
All lives can't matter until black lives matter. There is no excuse to be silent. Silence is not only compliance, it is violence. No matter who you are make it your responsibility to educate yourself. That doesn't mean asking your black friends to do it for you, put in your own work. There are so many ways you can help and do your part. NO MORE EXCUSES!

It is not enough to make a post on your Instagram with the caption, “No Justice, No Peace,” then log off and go on with your day. Everyday, every second, black people walk around in fear of their alives: afraid our blood will trail down the sleeves of a white man’s arm and he will get away with it because our shade of brown unknowingly wears a monster-like persona. How are we supposed to feel safe walking down the street like Trayvon Martin? How are we supposed to feel safe sitting inside of our own cars like Philando Castile? How can we possibly feel safe when the people who are supposed to be protecting us are killing us? Who do we call when we're scared?
Black people are fighting for basic human rights and it is seen as a threat. We need you not today or tomorrow, but RIGHT NOW! We will not stop until we are truly free from the bondage that held us captive for 400 years.
