Once you have completed an item, click it and check it off your list! But don't stop at these items there's always more ways you can help!
- As an ally REACH OUT TO YOUR BLACK FRIENDS IN AN EFFECTIVE WAY. Avoid "How are you?" instead ask "What can I do to help you right now?" "What do you need right now and how can I assist in feeding those needs?"
- As a black person UNDERSTAND THAT RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IS TRAUMATIZING. Take a social media break. Take a day, a week, as long as you need for yourself. To avoid burnout you need to recharge, that's how we can keep this as a movement and not a trend.
- Go to change.org and SIGN PETITIONS to bring awareness to police brutality, hate crime victims etc. and don't just sign the petition educate yourself on the case. These aren't just names on a screen they are actually people, take the time to see that their life mattered.
- EDUCATE YOURSELF on black history and the roots of racism in this country. Black history is purposefully left out of the cirriculum, so take time out of your day to put in the work and educate yourself.
